Absolute Resource Guide : The Aggregation of Marginal Gains
In our last post on the conjugate strategy, we referenced the Aggregation of Marginal Gains theory. We first came across the theory in James Clear’s book Atomic Habits.
The theory encapsulates the discipline required to capture the 1% of every possible detail that goes into the manifestation of high performance. It’s application to the world of sport originally, was in cycling when Sir David Brailsford took over the British Cycling Team as their director of performance. Using the aggregation of marginal gains, Brailsford transformed British cycling from being a doormat on the world stage to becoming one of the most prolific teams in modern history.
