The Hamstrings: A Multi Joint Muscle
Our hamstring training protocol includes two primary compound movements: one in a closed-chain setting and the other in an open-chain setting. This conjugate approach enables us to comprehensively develop all the trainable ecologies of the hamstrings.
The open-chain movement—discussed in the video, performed as hamstring curls on the reverse hyper, trains both knee flexion and hip extension. As a multi-joint muscle, the hamstrings require training that addresses this dual joint functionality. Our protocol respects this anatomical complexity, ensuring a multi joint ecological strategy to hamstring development.
This special exercise has been selected and is currently being refined as part of our hamstring training protocol. It is designed to optimize all trainable ecologies of the hamstrings, as outlined in our Founders Meeting (link below).
